Olive oil cooperative in Salfit Governorate is considered the central cooperative in the area, in which its work space includes 25 villages. These villages are Salfit, Farkha, Khirbat Qais, Yasuf, Iskaka, Marda, Jamma'in, Zeta, KiflHaris, Qira, Haris, DayrIstya, QarawatBaniJama', Biddya, Sarta, Masha, Sanniriya, Beit Amin, Azzun,Atma, Al-Zawiya , Rafat, Dayr Ballout, Kafr a-Dik, Bruqin, Amoriaa.
The cooperative opens the membership door for everybody under the terms set by the law of cooperations and the cooperation internal system.
The cooperative was formed in 1980, and it consists of 107 members. Salfit cooperative obtained HACCP, Organic, and FLO certificates. Moreover, it constitutes of 4 olive mills with an average annual sales amount of 150 tonnes.
Improving the production line of olive oil is a matter of importance within the Salfit Cooperative. Therefore, the efficiency and the effectiveness of the production line are increasing year after year from 1.5 ton per hour to 6 ton per hour.
