Al-Zawiyais located 36 km southwest of Nablus, on the border line of the West Bank nearby the occupied lands of 1948, and it is considered a part of Salfit Governorate. The village had a population of 4754 in 2007.
Al-zawiya is famous for its water springs and olive trees. However, the village is facing many challenges, particularly the farmers' difficulties with reaching their own lands, and the spread of wild pigs and dogs all around the village.
