Farkha Cooperative Society for Organic Olive Oil Production

 

Farkha is famous for olive cultivation and there are approximately 3,535 dunums for the village; 444 dunums of which are owned by Farkha cooperative and planted with olive trees.

In 2005 Farkha cooperative, which focuses on the marketing of olive products, was established and registered by the Ministry of Labor. The cooperative is interested in producing, marketing and selling organic olive oil. The cooperative constitutes of 17 members with an approximate annual sales amount of 9 tons.

The cooperative works relentlessly on developing the abilities and the agricultural knowledge of the farmers so that they can deal with different crises.

Moreover, the cooperative is working on a strategic plan, in addition to the olives milling project.
